LP Building Solutions Introduces WeatherLogic Seam and Flashing Sealant
WeatherLogic Seam & Flashing Sealant from LP Building Solutions is designed for easy and effective sheathing adhesion with moisture control technologies.
According to LP, the product is the only liquid-applied sealant permitted to seal the panel seams between LP WeatherLogic panels as part of the manufacturer’s WeatherLogic system.
It is a liquid-applied flashing material certified to AAMA 714-19.
The sealant can also be used to flash window and door apertures, material transitions, and irregularly shaped penetrations.
“In the development of this system LP has considered basic aspects such as easy installation, but also how we can save builders valuable resources like time and labor,” Chris Dall, LP’s product manager for growth and innovation said.
“LP has taken sheathing as we know it as a standalone product and transformed it into a building system that gives builders a more premium, sustainable, durable, and weather-resistant build.”
According to the company, LP WeatherLogic Seam & Flashing Sealant has short tooling and cure time to better serve the fast-paced building site environment.
The sealant has a tooling time of 10 to 15 minutes, a surface tack time of 110 minutes, and will fully cure in 24 hours, depending on conditions.
According to LP, the device is also VOC-compliant and features a joint movement of plus or minus 50% for further flexibility.
The WeatherLogic range now includes LP WeatherLogic Air & Water Barrier and LP WeatherLogic Seam & Flashing Tape.
