Fastenmaster Launches Trussbrace
TrussBRACE from FastenMaster is a solution to temporary wood-based supports used to install roof trusses.
The steel roof truss support offers lateral and diagonal restraint in a single brace, allowing framers to place, space, and brace roof trusses in a single step.
“It’s important to understand that lateral restraints alone are not adequate to resist buckling in a roof truss system,” said Charles Emma, product manager for new construction.
“The patent-pending diagonal restraint is where the TrussBRACE system differs from other metal braces on the market and allows for a safer, faster installation.”
Steve Szymanski, a former truss factory owner with over 30 years of expertise in the business, designed the solution to keep framers safe and greatly cut installation time.
Because it is readily installed from the bottom chord, the product improves jobsite safety.
By removing the temporary top chord bracing that must be removed prior to sheathing the roof, productivity is increased and waste is reduced.
“We believe that TrussBRACE is a significant safety and productivity development for framing,” Nikki Long, structural business unit director stated.
“FastenMaster is both proud and excited to be bring the TrussBRACE to market.”
