Truckee-Tahoe Lumber Co. adds NVO Construction
Truckee-Tahoe Lumber Co. & Design Center’s president and CEO, Andrew Cross, announced the company’s expansion into structural building components with the acquisition of the assets of NVO Construction Components, a leading manufacturer of floor and roof trusses, prefabricated wall panels, panelized floor and roof cassettes, and prefabricated stairs.
The agreement will take effect on July 1, 2024, and will establish the Truckee-Tahoe Lumber Co. Truss and Component division.
“Our goal is to offer our framing customers the entire framing materials package,” Cross stated.
“To accomplish this, TTL was committed to either building or acquiring a truss manufacturing facility. Once we saw the NVO operation and talked with our mutual customers, we were very excited about the opportunity to take on an operation that not only offers trusses, but also manufactures additional prefabricated components which provide framers with a full array of products that complement our lumber offerings to meet their production goals.”
The acquisition comprises a 75,000-square-foot production plant in the Stead neighborhood of Reno, Nevada, outfitted with cutting-edge equipment powered by the industry’s leading component software and technology. NVO has been serving consumers since 2021, providing building components for single- and multi-family residences, as well as commercial wood-frame construction.

In the 12 years since Cross took over TTL’s leadership, the company’s sales has increased tenfold, topping $100 million per year.
According to Cross, TTL intends to continue to build and expand the products supplied by NVO.
