Roseburg MDF Underwent Recertification

By   /

Roseburg Forest Products located in Springfield, Or., has declared it has undergone Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) recertification for the eighth time.

They provide standardized and objective information regarding the lifecycle environmental effects of Roseburg’s wood products and which now includes MDF.

“UL congratulates Roseburg on their eighth EPD, which demonstrates their commitment to sustainability while showcasing their willingness to go above and beyond—all in the name of transparency and clarity,” said Alberto Uggetti, VP and general manager of UL’s environment and sustainability division.

The certification provides customers with clear, product-specific environmental details that have undergone independent validation.

This allows purchasers to understand a product’s eco-friendliness and make educated decisions.

“EPDs help their purchasers better understand a product’s sustainable qualities and environmental impacts, empowering them to make more informed purchasing decisions,” Alberto Uggetti continued.

Products made by Roseburg MDF in Medford, Or., come with no-added formaldehyde (NAF), and moisture resistant and Class 1 (A) fire rated grades.

This MDF EPD includes the cradle-to-gate effects, raw material acquisition and manufacturing, for all items manufactured at the Medford plant.

These include brands like Arreis, Medite, Medite II, Medex, Medite FR, and Medite 3D.
