According to The Home Depot Rental, the ROFs are focused on efficiently dispatching larger-class equipment to job sites from a centralized location and have grown in importance as the needs of its pro customers have grown.

Richard Porter, The Home Depot’s vice president of Rental, Repair, RLCs, and Services in a statement “We’re happy to share our ROFs in Houston and Nashville are now fully operational after the openings in the Greater New Orleans and Los Angeles markets, in 2019 and 2020 respectively, we sought opportunities to serve more Pro customers in more ways and are delivering with an expanded ROF footprint that is in addition to over 1,200 rental store locations.”

As customers demand a wider selection of heavier equipment for large-scale construction, The Home Depot Rental has announced that it is widening available solutions across the quantity, capacity, and scale at ROFs such as:

  • Delivery for improving the timeliness of large equipment delivery;
  • Repair and upkeep for consistent equipment maintenance to reduce breakdowns and lost time;
  • Inventory – Improving fleet efficiency through new equipment categories and product depth;
  • Increased product offerings by enhancing the retail experience with a variety of rental options;
  • Service for providing best-in-class customer service in accordance with The Home Depot’s standards.

Tim Dugan, senior director of Rental Operations at The Home Depot, stated “We are getting insightful feedback from our Pro and DIY customers, along with our associates, to expand our Rental solutions. ROF locations are an outcome of this,”

The Home Depot Rental division is expanding further, with new ROF locations set to open in Atlanta and Dallas later this year, and also new rental centers across the North American footprint focusing on general tools, trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment.

“Nearly 24 months of experience at the ROFs, combined with The Home Depot’s 25 years of rental expertise, is allowing us to better plan and execute at current and future locations to provide the best Rental and delivery experience for our customers.” Dugan continued.
