Mid-Am Building Supply to begin construction on new Iowa facility
Mid-Am Building Supply recently signed a long-term leasing deal with Knaebel’s, Inc. to lease a warehouse distribution facility in Mt. Pleasant that is still under construction.
Mid-Am Building Supply is getting ready to move into a new 134,670-square-foot building next year.
Woodruff Construction of Tiffin will serve as the general contractor for the project, which is scheduled to be completed in July 2024.
The planning for this project began in October 2021, when the site was purchased.
Woodruff Construction will construct this facility, which will include warehouse space and a door shop, in the Crossroads Industrial Park on Iris Street. The building will also have a 5,000-square-foot office area.
The new facility will provide covered loading and unloading in a “drive-through” loading/storage area, as well as more than one acre of outside storage space.
Mid-Am Building Supply, which has been in Mount Pleasant since 1984, is a “two-step” building supply wholesaler that sells to lumberyards and big box stores.
With five warehouses in four states, the company sells shingles, doors, insulation, siding, windows, decking, door locks, fasteners, and other building supplies throughout the Midwest.
