The Broadway Project is the first in New York City to use AI Construction Technology Buildots
According to developer Global Holdings Management Group and Buildots, Eyal Ofer’s new Columbus Circle Building at 1841 Broadway is the first project in New York City to use the AI construction platform Buildots.
The property is just north of Columbus Circle, southwest of Central Park, and near to the Time Warner Center and the famous 15 Central Park West construction, both of which were directed by Eyal Ofer’s Global Holdings. The 26-story, 298-foot-tall structure will comprise almost 197,000 square feet of residential space with 123 dwelling units, as well as more than 20,000 square feet of commercial retail space.
After analyzing site data acquired by helmet-mounted 360-degree cameras using proprietary AI algorithms, the platform offers the project management team with real-time status reports accompanied by visualizations. This results in dramatically enhanced cost, labor and management time, and resource efficiency.
Leading global construction organizations such as Sir Robert McAlpine, Lendlease, Build Group, and EllisDon are actively using the award-winning technology on sites across North America, the United Kingdom, Europe, and the Middle East.
According to J.J. Ofer, CEO of Global Holdings Management Group (US), “Global Holdings has a robust project pipeline, and we see the significant impact that Buildots has on construction efficiency and transparency, both of which are critical factors in maximizing resource utilization, lowering costs, and expediting construction in a responsible manner. We are thrilled to be collaborating with Buildots and delivering this breakthrough technology to New York.”
INC Architecture & Design designed the building, which is located on Broadway and West 60th Street, with SLCE Architects serving as the architect of record.
“With the Columbus Circle Building project, we are excited to bring Buildots’ AI-based technology to New York City. Our platform provides complete visibility and control over project development, allowing for enhanced performance and efficiency. We look forward to working with Global Holdings Management Group and other prominent developers on future projects in New York and beyond “said Roy Danon, CEO of Buildots.
