SRS Distribution Acquires Wimsatt Building Materials

SRS Distribution Inc., based in McKinney, Texas, has announced the acquisition of Wimsatt Building Materials, a distributor of residential and commercial roofing, siding, windows, doors, and other related products.

The agreement’s terms were not made public.

With $3.8 billion in revenue in 2020, SRS ranks sixth on MDM’s Top Distributors list for building materials and construction distributors.

Wimsatt is headquartered in Wayne, Michigan, and operates eight locations in Michigan and Ohio.

Charlie Hoffman, a co-owner, will continue to lead employees under the Wimsatt banner, ensuring continuity and consistency for customers, suppliers, and employees, according to SRS.

“We could not be more excited to announce our new partnership with Wimsatt,” SRS’s president and CEO, Dan Tinker, stated.

“The company is the preeminent distributor in Michigan and one of the most respected independents in the industry. We have admired their business over the years and I am very excited for what we can now accomplish together.”

SRS operates more than 490 locations in 44 states under a family of distinct local brands.
