The Parr Company Acquires Washington’s Roof Truss Supply
Roof Truss Supply Inc., based in Woodinville, Washington, has been acquired by The Parr Company.
Roof Truss Supply, popularly known as RTS, was founded in 1972 by Paul Morris and is presently owned and operated by Tracy Rex.
RTS employs 120 people in three locations: one truss plant in Woodinville, a pre-cut/LBM facility in Everett, and two door and millwork plants in Everett and Puyallup, Washington.
Roof Truss Supply has been a locally owned, family-run business for for 50 years, serving professional contractors, single-family and multi-family producers, and commercial builders.
With the cooperation of the Board of Directors, The Parr Company’s leadership team established a three-year strategic vision in 2020.
A primary aim was to increase the footprint of roof and floor truss manufacturing, as well as doors and millwork, in the Pacific North.
“This addition will allow us to offer our products and services to customers in a new region of the Pacific Northwest, taking another step toward providing all products and services for the building industry from under one roof,” said The Parr Company CEO Mike Howell.
Dwight Parr Sr. created Parr Lumber in Vancouver, Washington, in 1930, and it is now a locally owned and operated business.
Michael Parr, Brad Farmer, and Nancy Cranston, the founder’s grandchildren, are active members of The Parr Company, carrying on their rich family tradition.
Parr, headquartered in Hillsboro, Oregon, is one of the nation’s leading building material suppliers.
“The addition of Roof Truss Supply is a natural fit,” Howell added.
“Our mutual values are rooted in a locally owned, family-based upbringing where our communities are key. We will continue to focus on people first, high customer service standards, and providing quality materials. Attributes that lead to building, improving, and enhancing the houses we call homes in the communities we serve. We are incredibly proud to welcome the Roof Truss Supply team to the Parr family of businesses.”
In Oregon and Washington, The Parr Company has 44 sites, including professional and retail building supply yards, cabinet design centers, pre-hung doors and millwork, truss and floor truss manufacturing operations, and a wholesale hardware distribution warehouse.
