Harts Services Announces the Launch of an Intensive Plumbing Apprenticeship Program
Harts Services, a top-rated plumbing firm based in Tacoma that was created in 2013, introduces Harts Academy, a unique in-house apprenticeship program that prepares dedicated trainees for a satisfying, high-paying career in one of America’s important sectors.
“The average age of a plumber is 56,” said Rich Hart, co-owner of Harts Services. “Plumbing, like all skilled trades, is suffering from a persistent labor shortage. Everyone has ideas about how to deal with scarcity. Harts Academy is the answer. Finally, it is our obligation to recruit and train the next generation of plumbers who will lead the industry forward.”
The Harts Academy program consists of eight weeks of intensive classroom instruction and hands-on practice in the Harts Academy plumbing platform.
Two to three years of supervised field training with certified plumbers follow the classroom sessions. Harts Academy also helps students prepare for the plumber license exam.
“Since we started this company, we’ve wanted to launch an intensive training program like Harts Academy,” said Dan Hartsough, co-owner of Harts Services.
“It enables us to assist ambitious plumbing experts in laying the groundwork for a long-term career. The unique blend of classroom and on-the-job training provides Harts Academy students with a safe environment in which to develop the entire spectrum of skills required to provide exceptional plumbing services to homeowners.”
Apprentices at Harts Academy assist plumbing leads in the warehouse and on job sites while actively learning essential skills.
It is necessary to have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record. Apprentices are expected to work in crawlspaces, operate machinery, climb ladders and steps, and perform other physical tasks in the warehouse and on job sites.
The experienced, knowledgeable technicians and support staff at Harts Services provide top-quality workmanship and environmentally friendly methods on a wide range of solutions, including kitchen and bathroom plumbing, septic tanks, water heaters, water filtration, sewer and drain clearing, sump pumps, partial and whole home re-pipes, and more.
