Wayne Dalton Introduces Security Shutter for Exterior Home Access

Wayne Dalton, garage door manufacturer, is offering customers its first extruded aluminum exterior security shutter.

This provides users with extra security for exterior access to their homes.

The Model 523RX Security Shutter is constructed for installation at the following:

• Home entrances in high-traffic areas
• Driveway access from the street

“For urban and suburban areas where homes are typically closer together, or even major cities that are densely populated, lack of security for parking and outside access to homes is a common issue,” said Jennifer Castro, senior product marketing manager at Wayne Dalton.

“Model 523RX is a unique innovation that delivers real value to homeowners seeking a solution to this problem. Model 523RX is a unique product that incorporates a premier design and improves security,” continued Jennifer Castro.

The Model 523RX is a UL 325 listed residential exterior security shutter opener which features:

• Weather-resistant motor enclosure for operation

This provides automatic force detection, monitored photo eyes, and direct drive shutter operation.

“We wanted a subtle, yet reliable solution that gives homeowners peace of mind when it comes to protecting one of their most valuable assets, their home,” Castro said.

The door comes in fully perforated or fenestrated patterns, which offers either 22% or 24% open area.

It is available in sizes up to 16 feet high and 12 feet wide.

Customers can select from four standard powder coat colors such as silver, bronze, white, or almond.

They can also choose a customized powder coat color from approximately 200 RAL colors.

They can request a color match to architect specifications.

Buyers have cylinder locking options to choose from.
