Palram Americas sells Palight Trimboard to Westlake Royal

This week, the Westlake company Westlake Royal Building Products announced that it had successfully acquired the Palight Trimboard business from Palram Americas, Inc.

Palram is a producer of extruded thermoplastic sheets, panel systems, and completed goods with headquarters in Kutztown, Pennsylvania. The deal was finalized on November 30, 2022.

Westlake Royal will increase the number of brands it offers under the Westlake Royal Trim & Mouldings Solutions umbrella by acquiring the Palight Trimboard product lines.

According to Scott Szwejbka, vice president and general manager of Westlake Royal Building Products, “This strategic acquisition will add another high quality brand of PVC trimboard to our growing portfolio of building products.”

The deal strengthens Westlake Royal and Palram’s previous manufacturing partnership. As Westlake Royal will take over management of an existing manufacturing facility on the Palram campus, manufacturing will continue in Kutztown.

In addition, Szwejbka said, “We look forward to welcoming the associated Palram employees to the Westlake Royal team. We anticipate a seamless transition of the production lines without a disruption to customer support or supply.”
