Some Owners of Top-Load Washers can now get GE Appliances’ Tide Pods Dispensers
Some washer models now have a dedicated water jet and shower for dispensing and dissolving detergent packs.
GE Appliances and Procter & Gamble are partnering to include the specialized Tide PODS Dispense compartments for a series of top-load and first-rate washing machines.
“When consumers combine the washer technology from GE Appliances with their Tide form of choice, POD’s or Liquid, they receive an easy and powerful one-step cleaning solution that delivers the results they need,” says Jennifer Ahoni, scientific communications manager, North America fabric care at Procter & Gamble.
The Tide PODS Dispense compartments have a dedicated water jet that can puncture a pac and a shower that dissolves the detergent that users put into the load.
The compartments are found between the compartments for the detergent and softener.
The model measures 4.6 cubic feet and integrates an agitator that uses a dual-action process.
The 4.8 cubic feet model has a spacious low-profile infuser that allows users to load more laundry in it.
“We want laundry to be as painless as possible for consumers, and getting clothes clean without having to overthink detergent measurement is one way to streamline the task,” says David Wilson, commercial director of laundry at GE Appliances. “Tide PODS Dispense exemplifies the easy-to-use nature of our laundry solutions.”
Both models use GE’s Dynamic Balancing Technology. It aims to provide users with:
- A quiet wash cycle
- Presets for washing off various stains
- Four options for rinsing
- Wi-Fi connectivity
- Cycle monitoring and control via an app on a user’s smartphone
Customers can get the Tide PODS Dispense washers in a White or Diamond Gray finish.
The suggested retail price is at around $849.00.
